Azusa Pacific University was founded in 1899 with the objective of offering education to Christian workers. The school has been renamed five times since its first day to reflect its services. Azusa Pacific University hosts over 10,000 students with about half of them being undergraduates. The ratio of men to women currently stands at around 1:2, meaning women are double the number of men. At least 80% of the population hails in California, but it still has very high ethnic diversity. The population of APU right now has ensured that every twelve students depend on one lecturer, which is fairly better than some other institutions. The disadvantage, however, is the fact that less than 40% are full-time employees. Subdivided into seven schools and three colleges, the university is able to offer all available undergrad and graduate programs without straining the facilities. Among the religiously affiliated institutions, Azusa ranks 3rd in its performance. According to U.S. News & World Report, Azusa Pacific University comes 217th in overall performances in the country. Also, statistics suggest that APU Health Sciences graduates are the 8th best paid in the whole country. If you are passionate about sports, Azusa gives you the opportunity to showcase your ability in a professional environment. The athletic team is a member of the NCAA Division II. Acceptance Rate at Azusa Pacific University

APU is a moderately selective university with about 60% acceptance rate. What this means is that when you apply, there is a probability of 0.6 that you will be among the selected ones. Having looked at the acceptance rate, you now have an idea of where you will fall in case applied. The second most important thing is to make sure that you meet all the requirements of the university.

One of the requirements is the test scores where you will have to submit either the ACT or SAT test scores. On average, you will need at least 1100 points or 24 points on SAT or ACT respectively. You will also need a GPA of above 3.7 to get a chance of even being considered. If you are confident that you have these requirements, apply for a space in the next admission phase.
