Deemed as one of Europe’s largest and oldest technical universities, Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) is a top-ranking institute of higher education founded in 1707. Presently, the center of learning has around 17,800 students spread out across its eight faculties: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering, Architecture, Transportation Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Information Technology. Aside from the university’s faculties, there are also six university institutes at CTU.

The institution was founded in 2007 by Vladimír Kovář.
