1. Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay
When it comes to engineering studies and research, IIT Bombay is a prominent institution. Its international degree admissions page lists master’s and doctoral programs, while the institute also publishes separate guidance for inbound students.
For inbound students, IIT Bombay accepts several forms of evidence of English proficiency, including certain English-medium documents or an English-proficiency test result. When a TOEFL iBT score is used, the official guidance states a minimum overall score of 95, with at least 20 in writing. This should not be presented as a blanket undergraduate and graduate admissions requirement for every IIT Bombay program.
2. Manipal Academy of Higher Education

3. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a multidisciplinary, research-intensive private university. The university states that it has more than 24,000 students and offers more than 250 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
The published TOEFL iBT minimum of 79 applies to Bengaluru students in Amrita’s MBA-MS program who wish to pursue the additional MS degree from the University at Buffalo. The official admissions information states that not meeting this requirement does not affect the student’s MBA degree from Amrita. The score should not be presented as a general requirement for every advanced degree or every MBA applicant.
4. SP Jain School of Global Management

The SP Jain School of Global Management offers international business programs. It is registered as an Institute of Higher Education by Australia’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency. Its Bachelor of Business Administration program is accredited by ACCA.
For the Master of Global Business program, applicants whose most recent educational qualification was not completed in English must provide evidence of English proficiency. The admissions page lists a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 70 as one accepted option.
5. Christ University
CHRIST University has more than 30,000 students across its undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. It was one of the first institutions in India to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 1998 and currently holds an A+ grade.
For applicants under the International Student category, CHRIST University lists a TOEFL iBT score of 79 as one accepted English pre-qualification. The requirement should not be described as a universal minimum for every applicant and every course.
