1. Czech Technical University Scholarships

The Czech Technical University in Prague is one of the largest universities in the Czech Republic. It is considered one of the oldest technology institutions in the country and Central Europe. Since they have a huge international population, they offer scholarships to international students taking up master’s and doctoral programs.

This scholarship in the Czech Republic is funded by the university, and the duration of this award is for every student 1 to 2 semesters. For the extensions, it can be given if the student shows excellent performance during the scholarship period. An application form is available on the university’s official website. You will be required to indicate your study program with the subjects you intend to take during the semester.

2. Charles University – Computer Science Tuition Fee Scholarships

  • Scholarship Amount: A tuition fee waiver of 84,000 CZK up to 420,000 CZK (may vary depending on the applicant’s performance and home country)
  • Eligible Degree/s: Bachelor’s, Master’s

The Charles University in Prague offers scholarships to excellent international applicants of the Computer Science Program under the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The scholarship is given to a limited number of highly qualified applicants entering the program.

To apply for this Czech Republic scholarship, applicants should meet the requirements for the Computer Science Program. Since scholarship applications are made online, kindly prepare the documents needed, such as curriculum vitae, motivation letter, transcript of records, two letters of recommendation, and others. Applications should be sent via email, and documents should be uploaded as PDF files.

The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics makes the selection and decision of the scholarship awards, and it is based on the applicant’s previous academic performance. Successful candidates will be notified with a Letter of Offer given by the department. Lastly, all recipients of this award should be full-time students of the program.

3. Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (Start-up scholarship)

The Faculty of Environmental Sciences (FES) at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague offers scholarships to new and international students taking up FES English-taught programs. The Start-up scholarship supports these new students in the department as they adjust their studies and life in the Czech Republic. Also, this is given during their first semester at the university.

Newly enrolled local and international students in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the FES are welcome to apply for this scholarship in the Czech Republic. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants should show perfect grades from their previous subjects or studies, need financial support for their studies, have submitted a curriculum vitae along with the application, and lastly, have a Czech bank account. Students will send their applications via email (The email address per degree is in the scholarship link too). The department will check applications, and the basis for the awarding of the scholarship is the previous academic performance and the student’s financial needs. Please be advised that incomplete and delayed submissions of applications will not be counted.

4. Erasmus Joint Master’s Scholarships

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Program is a prestigious, fully-funded European Union initiative that supports top international students seeking integrated 1–2 year Master’s degrees through a consortium of at least three universities in different countries. Czech institutions like Charles University in Prague, Czech Technical University, and Masaryk University in Brno actively participate in various Erasmus Mundus programs, including fields such as security studies, engineering, and migration. Scholarships cover full tuition, a monthly stipend (around €1,400), travel, visa, insurance, and installation costs for up to 24 months, and award joint or multiple degrees.

5. Government Scholarship – Developing Countries

The government scholarship for developing countries is a joint project of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This scholarship in the Czech Republic supports and funds the financial needs of international students taking up Czech or English-taught programs in Czech universities. This scholarship is open to Bosnia, Herzegovina, Ethiopia, Georgia, Cambodia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Zambia, and the duration will depend on the applicant’s degree.

The scholarship application will be through the Embassy. Applicants should complete the electric application form, which will be submitted to the Embassy. Afterward, when the application is accepted, they will be asked to attend an interview, and successful candidates will be asked to present and complete documents mandated by them.
