Another great country to consider for your studies is Australia. Its breathtaking places, dynamic cities, and great culture make it perfect for international students. Additionally, the quality of education that you’ll get here is outstanding. Top universities in this country have a reputation for producing highly employable graduates in different fields.

Like many higher institutions worldwide, you may need to pay an application fee as part of the process in Australia so you can officially start applying to your chosen school. However, it can burden some because it can be costly. The application fee alone may range from 50 to 100 USD. It is pretty expensive, right?

On the brighter side, some Australian schools don’t have application fees. That’s why we listed some Australian universities that don’t have application fees in this article. We hope that this will help you in finding your university, so make sure to read carefully.

Universities in Australia with No Application Fees

1. Bond University

Bond University is the first on our list that does not charge an application fee. This institution is unique because it has a trimester system that accepts student applicants in January, May, and September rather than having just two semesters with a long summer break in between them. Moreover, the school is great if you want to earn your degree as quickly as possible.

If you attend all three semesters full-time for two years, you can obtain a bachelor’s degree in less than four years. The institution aims to guide its students to succeed not just in academics but beyond it as well. It also offers a program called Beyond Bond, which helps current undergraduate students gain experience through things like internships, volunteering programs, study tours, and more to prepare them for a career in the field they are studying.

This way, by the time its students graduate, they will already have exposure and have gained skills relevant to their chosen careers. Despite their hard-working ethics, this renowned university also offers a variety of extra-curricular activities to enjoy when they aren’t studying, such as sports, free concerts, barbeques, and more.

2. Charles Darwin University

Charles Darwin University is an excellent option if you’re looking to get your degree online. CDU offers over 100 online courses in areas of study like education, engineering, social sciences, accounting, etc. The wide variety of online courses it offers gives you the flexibility to fulfill a degree when and where you want. The institution has four campuses and training centers for those who do not wish to take online classes. Since there is no application fee, why not apply?

This school has been around since the 1950s and is the only university based in the Northern Territory. Because of this, the school has a strong relationship with and respect for the Indigenous people whose lands they operate on. It takes pride in the rich culture that has helped make the institution what it is today and welcomes thousands of students from different countries around the world, making the school population very culturally diverse.

This Australian university is also staffed with hard-working, highly qualified staff members, nearly 40% of whom have a Ph.D. Whether you take online courses or attend classes at one of its several campuses and training centers, you can feel confident that your professor is knowledgeable in whatever subject they teach because they are more than qualified to teach it.

3. University of South Australia

One of the Australian universities without application fees is the University of South Australia. This institution is preferred for graduate careers in the country’s southern area. It offers a wide range of study areas and has six campuses throughout the state, each with its own library, lecture halls, and laboratories.

Despite this school’s size, it aims to make it feel like a community by offering events, clubs, sports, and places to hang out around campus. It’s an excellent option if you are looking for something other than a traditional university experience. Also, expect plenty of organizations that help you meet new people and make relevant connections.

The University of South Australia also offers world-class research, including studies in cancer, transforming industries, and healthy futures. It is a cut above the rest when it comes to research, so if you are interested in doing research studies or getting a degree in research, this school is a great choice.

4. University of Notre Dame Australia

The University of Notre Dame Australia is a Catholic university that embraces its religious traditions practiced in Europe and Northern America. Although it’s a Catholic institution, this school accepts and welcomes students from different religious backgrounds or those without religious beliefs.

It is dedicated to helping each student in school and beyond by recognizing and respecting that each student is unique, as are their academic strengths. All the degrees offered at this institution require students to take core curriculum classes in philosophy, theology, and ethics. These classes are required because Notre Dame believes that higher education should not only help students secure a career when they graduate but should also enrich their lives in every aspect, not just professionally.

Furthermore, the university aims to prepare students for life after graduation, not just for jobs. This core curriculum and genuine interest in enhancing students’ lives make this school unique and popular among domestic and international learners.

5. University of Wollongong

Similar to the University of South Australia, the University of Wollongong is a research-intensive higher education provider. It is also one of the country’s few institutions offering a free application process. The school takes pride in its reputable learning environments, ambitious drive, and successful graduates. It is also recognized as one of the top 250 universities in the world.

This higher institution started as the New South Wales University of Technology before it became known by its current name. While they still train engineers and metallurgists, they have expanded their programs so that artists, educators, and entrepreneurs have a place there, too. Its rich history in technology and engineering has carried through to modern times and has significantly expanded.

The school has advanced research facilities for 3D bioprinting, medicinal chemistry, and global challenges. Moreover, it has worked hard to build a more sustainable and equitable future for today’s society.
