The Journey
I am Rama Prajapati from Bhaktapur, Nepal. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Connecticut, USA. Prior to that, I did my PhD in Pharmacy from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, and a Master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Danish Government Scholarship Details
For my master’s degree in Denmark, I received the Danish government scholarship (9000 Danish Kroners stipend per month for 2 years). For my PhD in Spain, I received the La Caixa co-funded by Marie Curie Fellowship (34800 Euros stipend per year for 3 years + 3564 Euros per year for travel expenses)
Educational Background
I did my Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Kathmandu University, prior to my education in Europe. I graduated first in the class with distinction, which helped me secure prestigious scholarships.
Did You Take Any Standardized Tests? If So, How Did You Prepare for Them?
I took IELTS, for which I prepared with the online materials available.
How Did You Prepare to Apply to the Danish Government Scholarship?
I made the list of universities and the programs that interested me and wrote the SOPs based on those programs. Then I applied to the Universities way before deadlines.
How is (was) Your Experience at the University of Copenhagen?
In both institutions in Europe, I had the best time, best education, and best people around me.
How Do You Rate the University of Copenhagen Academically and Why?
Very good. It helped me academically and personally, which aided me in getting my current position.
How Does the University of Copenhagen Support International Students?
Very good as per my experience.
