Bhaskar Chatterjee from India is pursuing a five-year integrated Master’s and PhD in the Data Life Science Global Leader Program at the Department of Advanced Nanomedical Engineering, Institute of Science Tokyo, funded by the prestigious MEXT Scholarship. His research focuses on mRNA therapeutics and nanocarrier-based delivery systems, aiming to improve their stability, targeted delivery, and therapeutic efficacy. With a background in Biotechnology from Amity University Kolkata, Bhaskar has conducted research on cancer cell migration, tumor-targeted nano-drug delivery, and the Unfolded Protein Response pathway. His MEXT application stood out for its innovative research proposal aligned with Japan’s scientific priorities, prior laboratory experience, publications, and personalized outreach to prospective supervisors.
