Manoj Chamlagain from Nepal is currently pursuing his PhD in infectious diseases at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, funded by the prestigious Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA). Growing up in rural Panchthar with limited educational access, he overcame challenges to study Applied Biology at Hong Kong Baptist University, where he graduated as Valedictorian with a full scholarship and multiple international research experiences in Hong Kong, the US, and Israel. His preparation for SINGA included excelling in standardized tests, starting his application process 18 months early, refining his essays with mentors, and leveraging research exposure to strengthen his profile.
