The Population Media Center (PMC) is an entertainment organization that promotes social and cultural changes. As a part of their promotion, they host a scholarship video contest for incoming undergraduate students. These video contests are open globally, and every high school student can apply.
Applicants will create a short video (60 seconds or less) discussing humanity and human population growth. Awards will be divided into four recipients of $2,000 each and twelve recipients of $1,000. These monetary awards will be sent out to your chosen universities or colleges, and they will be used to cover your tuition fee expenses. Since they only open these scholarship contests twice a year, specific dates for opening may vary.
3. Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
Since 2001, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program has been open to U.S. citizens aiming to study abroad. For the past years, they have funded students to study in different parts of the world.
All applications are made online. Applicants are required to submit two types of essays: the Statement of Purpose Essay and (2) Community Impact Essays.
