International Admissions Guide at the University of Twente

The incoming international undergraduate students can start their application through Studielink – an online application platform. As you start your application, they will require you to present your requirements and other supporting documents. You will receive a confirmation email after, and you will continue your admission process via the OSIRIS application. They will give you the log-in details to finalize your application. You’ll receive results via email, and it’s either you’ll be accepted, rejected, or conditional.

On the other hand, incoming international graduate applicants must have a bachelor’s degree before the start of the university’s academic year. They will need you to take an eligibility check to know if your bachelor’s degree in your country has an equivalent degree or if it’s eligible for a master’s program. If not, they will advise you to enroll in a pre-master’s. It will give you an introduction to your program. Application Fee

Incoming international undergraduate applicants don’t have to pay the application fee. But for the incoming international graduate applicants are required to pay an application fee of 120 US Dollars.

Admissions Requirements for International Students

If you’re an incoming international undergraduate student, you need to meet the academic and language requirements. The academic requirements include school transcripts and a diploma from your previous institution. The documents should have an equivalent to the Dutch educational system and must be translated to English.

For the English language requirement, the university accepts results from the International English Language Test (IELTS), the Test of English as a Foreign Language – internet-based (TOEFL – iBT), C1 Advanced, and C2 Proficiency, and applicants should meet a minimum score per English proficiency exam. Some undergraduate programs may require additional documents.

To enter the graduate program as an international student, you need to submit the basic and specific requirements per program. The basic requirements include a bachelor’s program equivalent to the Dutch educational system, and it should meet the minimum Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA).
