The Henry M. MacCracken program is awarded in honor of a former chancellor of NYU, Henry Mitchell MacCracken. This is in tribute to his dedication to increasing enrollment and academic standards in universities, and his role in founding one of the first graduate schools of arts and science in the US. The program awards several benefits including full funding to most incoming doctoral students at GSAS, and the opportunity to earn additional revenue by teaching.

The Henry M. McCracken Program Coverage

This fully funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

100% of tuition fees
A nine month stipend to cover living expenses (a research assistantship position in some departments)
Health insurance
A one-time $1,000 scholarship to be used at the recipient's own discretion
