This partially funded scholarship for international students covers $35.20 hourly salary with 6% vacation and 3,6% statutory holiday compensation.

Teaching Assistantships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Teaching Assistantships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • Valid Canadian Social Insurance Number
  • Valid study permit
  • Canadian bank account

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Enter as an external applicant (no current employment at McGill) via Workday using McGill's VPN.
  2. Log in to an existing account or create a new one using your personal email address.
  3. Search for "Teaching Assistants" along with the term, year, and department of choosing.
  4. Click "Apply" to start the procedure.
