President’s PhD Scholarships Coverage

This fully funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • 100% of tuition fees
  • A living stipend of £25,224 for 3.5 years
  • A consumables budget of £2,000 for 3 years

President’s PhD Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

  • Incoming international students who have received or be expecting to receive a First-Class Honors or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated Master's degree
  • Students who earned a distinction in their standalone Master's degree or provide evidence of exceptional performance that will result in a distinction, if they hold such a degree

President’s PhD Scholarships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for President’s PhD Scholarships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • A personal statement
  • A research proposal
  • 2 referees (not including your supervisor)

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Make contact with a supervisor in an academic department at the university
  2. Select the the President's PhD Scholarship scheme in the funding section of the online admission system
