Knight Hennessy Scholarships provides full funding to 100 graduate students annually to study in any graduate schools in Stanford University. This fellowship is the largest endowed fellowship in the world with its endowment totaling $750 million.

Its goal is to produce world’s global leaders who will impact the world. To fulfill this goal, the fellows are educated in one of the world’s most renowned universities: Stanford.

Every student is eligible to apply for this fellowship. International students are welcome to apply because of its goal to produce world’s global leaders who will impact the world. About 1/3 of the fellows will be from United States, and the remaining 2/3 from around the world.

A Knight Hennessy Scholarship recipients will receive $120,000 a year covering approximately $80,000 in tuition and $40,000 in non-tuition expenses. Also, they are eligible to receive more funding if they are engaged in research during the summer.

This fellowship funds for any graduate degree in Stanford (MBA, MA, MS, Ph.D., MD, etc.). A fellow pursuing a Master’s degree will typically receive two years of full funding, and a fellow pursuing a Ph.D. will typically receive five to six years of full funding.

To be eligible, you must also apply and get accepted by any of the Stanford University’s graduate schools. So, make sure to submit both the Knight Hennessy scholarship application as well as the application to the Stanford Graduate School!

Knight Hennessy Scholarships Coverage

This fully funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • A fellowship applied directly to cover tuition and associated fees
  • A stipend for living and academic expenses (such as room and board, books, academic supplies, instructional materials, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses)
  • A travel stipend intended to cover an economy-class ticket for one annual trip to and from Stanford

Knight Hennessy Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

  • you should be admitted to any of the Stanford's graduate school
  • you have earned your bachelor's degree in 2018 or later
