International Student Scholarship Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

• Stipend of NT$5,000 to 21,000 per month for undergraduate students
• Stipend of NT$7,000 to 25,000 per month for master's students
• Stipend of NT$15,000 to 30,000 per month for PhD students
• Tuition fee waivers OR tuition fee rates according to local students

International Student Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Academically excellent
• Not recipients of other scholarships or grants from the Taiwan government
• Willing to enroll in at least 4 Mandarin courses (for undergraduate students)
• Willing to enroll in at least 2 Mandarin courses (for master's and PhD students)

If you meet the eligibility criteria for National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and International Student Scholarship, you can move forward with the application process!

International Student Scholarship Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for International Student Scholarship. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

• Proof of completion of Mandarin courses (if applying for exception)

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

1. Submit your documents and scholarship application along with your application for admission.

For International Student Scholarship, you may apply on these dates:

• Scholarship Application Deadline (Fall) : March 15, 2025
• Scholarship Application Deadline (Spring) : September 15, 2025
