International Student Scholarship Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • 20,000 RMB tuition subsidy and 14,000 RMB annual allowance (1,400 RMB monthly allowance) for Type A scholars
  • 20,000 RMB tuition subsidy for Type B scholars
  • 10,000 RMB tuition subsidy for Type C scholars
  • 6,000 RMB tuition subsidy for Type C scholars

International Student Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Having a valid passport
  • Having a Tianjin resident guardian (if aged below 18)
  • Holders of high school diploma and aged 25 or below
  • Of good health and willing to abide by China and university laws
  • Having at least HSK4 certificate (if pursuing Chinese-taught programs)
  • Having a score of at least 80 in TOEFL or 6.0 in IELTS (if pursuing English-taught programs)

International Student Scholarship Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for International Student Scholarship. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • Copy of diploma
  • Photocopy of passport
  • Personal statement or study plan
  • Certificate of Non-Criminal Records
  • Proof of Chinese or English proficiency
  • Photocopy of foreigner physical examination form
  • Photocopy of Visa and Transfer Certificate (if studying in China already)
  • Tianjin University International Student Scholarship Application Form
  • Certificate of Bank saving or Income Certificate of Financial Guarantor
  • Copy of academic transcripts or international standardization test results

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Fill up an online application form.
  2. Collect and upload required documents.
  3. Submit application form and documents.
