Graduate School Scholarship (Category One) Coverage
This partially funded scholarship for international students covers 300,000 yen per year.
Graduate School Scholarship (Category One) Eligibility Criteria
- Regular students
- Not repeating their year of master's studies
- Having excellent academic records and personality
- Not on a leave of absence and not planning to take one
- Having a grade average of at least 4.9 for all years of master's studies (for PhD level applicants)
- Having a grade average of at least 4.9 for the 3rd and 4th years of undergraduate studies (for master's level applicants)
- Not enrolled for more than two years or four semesters for master's students in long-term study plans

Graduate School Scholarship (Category One) Application Process
A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Graduate School Scholarship (Category One). You’ll have to collect these requirements:
- Academic Transcript
- Bank Account Information Sheet
- Graduate School Scholarship Application Form
Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:
- Download and fill in the application form.
- Submit the form, along with other documents required by the school or course, via mail or in person.
