Graduate Assistantships Coverage

This full tuition scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • 100% tuition costs waived for more than 40% FTE
  • 75% tuition fee reduction for 30-39% FTE
  • 50% tuition fee reduction for 20-29% FTE
  • 25% tuition fee reduction for 10%-19% FTE
  • Health insurance

Graduate Assistantships Eligibility Criteria

  • Able to successfully pass a background check conducted by Federal Homeland Security.
  • Full-time students enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester in a graduate degree program of the University of Kansas.
  • Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and making progress towards their graduate degree.
  • Able to pass the English proficiency criteria, with a minimum score of 50 on the SPEAK, 22 on the IBT, and 8 on the IELTS (for Teaching Assistants).
  • Able to pass their doctoral comprehensive examination, other graduate study requirements, and eighteen post-comprehensive credit hours (for PhD students).
  • Able to complete all of the required components of the Graduate Assistant orientation and training.
