Graduate Assistantships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Graduate Assistantships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form
  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • I-94 Form
  • Valid Passport
  • Direct Deposit Form
  • W-4 Form
  • Resume (for international graduate students with minimum two years of work experience)
  • On-Campus Employment Letter
  • Direct Deposit form and W-4 form

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Search for an Assistantship appointment through the Student Employment website
  2. Acquire an On-Campus Employment Letter from OGS
  3. Complete the I-9 form online
  4. Submit a Direct Deposit form and W-4 form online
  5. Bring an I-94 Form and a valid passport on or before your first day of work.

Graduate Assistantships Deadlines

The great news is that there is no specific deadline to apply for Graduate Assistantships! While there are no specific dates, it’s important to apply before the Northeastern University admission deadlines. Here are the deadlines:
