Graduate Assistantships Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • $6,150.20 salary per term ($43.93 per hour) for doctoral graduate assistants
  • $5,520.20 salary per term ($39.43 per hour) for master's graduate assistants
  • $28.85 salary hourly for MI and TA III level teaching assistants
  • $21.99 salary hourly for TA II level teaching assistants
  • $20.39 salary hourly for TA I level teaching assistants

Graduate Assistantships Eligibility Criteria

  • You just need to be an international Master's and Ph.D. student or applicant of University of Windsor.

Remember to apply for admission to University of Windsor first before applying for Graduate Assistantships. You can visit the official website found in University of Windsor Admissions Section to see the admissions application process.

Graduate Assistantships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Graduate Assistantships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • New Student Employee - Personal Information
  • Personal Tax Credits Form TD1 (Federal)
  • Ontario Personal Tax Credits Form TD1ON (Provincial)
  • Authorization Agreement for Automatic Deposits
  • Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  • Personal Identification Documentation (Copy of Birth Certificate)
  • Copy of Study Permit or Employment Authorization

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Inquire with the department or office regarding the availability of the positions.
  2. Wait to be appointed and given an employment contract.
  3. Submit requirements to hr@uwindsor.ca for review and approval.
