This partially funded scholarship for international students covers an amount of €4,000 towards tuition costs.

Finnish Language Skills Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Those with a basic level (grade 2) YKI certificate for bachelor’s level students (first year)
• Those with both basic and intermediate level YKI certificates at master’s level students

Finnish Language Skills Scholarship Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Finnish Language Skills Scholarship. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

• YKI language Certificate

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

1. Take the YKI or Finnish language proficiency test at the appropriate level.
2. Provide a copy of the language certificate.

Finnish Language Skills Scholarship Deadlines

The great news is that there is no specific deadline to apply for Finnish Language Skills Scholarship! While there are no specific dates, it’s important to apply before the Vaasa University of Applied Sciences admission deadlines. Here are the deadlines:

• Bachelor's and Master's Deadline (Second Joint Application - Finnish Degree Programs): March 25, 2025
