Faculty Admission Scholarships Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • Total amount of $4,000 for the Faculty of Arts Dean's Merit Scholarship
  • $4,000 to $5,000 for the Faculty of Engineering Dean's Merit Scholarship
  • $2,000 for the Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship
  • $11,500 for the Faculty of Science Undergraduate Research Scholarship
  • $4,000 for the Faculty of Social Sciences Dean's Excellence Award
  • $5,000 for the Faculty of Social Sciences Jean Chrétien Scholarship

  • You just need to be an international Bachelor's student or applicant of University of Ottawa.

Remember to apply for admission to University of Ottawa first before applying for Faculty Admission Scholarships. You can visit the official website found in University of Ottawa Admissions Section to see the admissions application process.

Faculty Admission Scholarships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Faculty Admission Scholarships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • For the Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship, submit a letter that explains why you are applying to an engineering program and a resume.
  • For the Faculty of Science Undergraduate Research Scholarship, submit a letter of recommendation and a a 250-word essay that describes your passion for science.
  • For the Faculty of Social Sciences Jean Chrétien Scholarship, submit a resume.

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Submit your supporting documents online prior to the deadline.
  2. Attend an interview if required by your department.
