Assistantships Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • Paid public holidays
  • An hourly gross wage worth €12.44 for Level I student employees
  • An hourly gross wage worth €16.10 for Level II student employees
  • Reimbursement of commuting, travel, and work-related costs, subject to terms and approval

Assistantships Eligibility Criteria

  • At least 18 years old
  • Without a scholarship, if at PhD level
  • Working or applying to a different department from the one they are in, if at PhD level

Assistantships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Assistantships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • Motivation letter
  • Curriculum vitae

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Look for vacant assistantships or other student jobs on KU Leuven Career Zone.
  2. Respond to the job call you are interested in by following instructions regarding how to contact and what requirements to submit.
  3. Wait for a response to your application.
  4. Attend an interview when invited.
  5. Wait for employment decision.
