Assistantships Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • NTD 8,000 to 10,000 per month for PhD part-time teaching assistants
  • NTD 6,000 to 7,500 per month for master's part-time teaching assistants
  • NTD 4,000 to 6,000 per month for bachelor's part-time teaching assistants
  • NTD 3,000 to 5,000 per month for part-time administrative assistants
  • At least minimum wage for for temporary or student workers

Assistantships Eligibility Criteria

  • ** NOT ** be from Mainland China
  • Having valid work permits (if international students)
  • ** NOT ** be the spouse or relative of project or employment head

Remember to apply for admission to National Taiwan University first before applying for Assistantships. You can visit the official website found in National Taiwan University Admissions Section to see the admissions application process.

Assistantships Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Assistantships. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • Work permit
  • Application form
  • Teaching Assistant Orientation Workshop attendance (for teaching assistants)
  • Application form for labor or national health insurance (for administrative assistant and temporary workers)

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Submit filled application form for the assistantship and work permit.
  2. Participate in Teaching Assistant Orientation Workshop (if applying for part-time teaching assistant position).
  3. Submit application form for labor or national health insurance (if applying for part-time administrative assistant position and temporary worker).
