My name is Sundas Tufail, and I am originally from Pakistan. I pursued an MSc in Environmental and Energy Engineering at the University of Sheffield. I was honored to receive the Commonwealth Scholarship for my master’s program. It fully covered my tuition fees, which were approximately GBP 50,000, and provided a monthly stipend of around GBP 4,000. This support made it possible for me to focus entirely on my studies and make the most of the experience without financial stress.

Educational Background

I completed my BSc in Mechanical Engineering, which gave me a strong technical foundation and analytical mindset. This background played a key role in helping me succeed in the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) and confidently apply for both the program and the scholarship. I would rate it 10/10. The faculty is highly knowledgeable and supportive, and the university provides excellent academic resources. It’s an environment that genuinely encourages learning, critical thinking, and growth. As part of my research project, I got to interact with lots of communities in Sheffield, which was learning beyond the classroom.
