My name is Saqiba Sheerazi, and I am originally from Pakistan. One of the proudest achievements of my life is being an alumna of the Australia Awards and a member of its global community, as well as a graduate of the University of Melbourne.

I commenced my studies in March 2017 and successfully completed the program in December 2018. During my final semester, I secured an internship/co-op placement, which provided valuable industry exposure and practical experience.

Educational Background

I completed my early education and higher studies in Pakistan, including an MPhil in Organic Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. I began my professional career as a Chemistry teacher at the high school and college levels.

Subsequently, I appeared in Pakistan’s civil services competitive examination, successfully qualified, and was appointed as a civil servant with the Government of Pakistan in 2010. After gaining over five years of professional experience in public service, I became eligible to apply for the Australia Awards Scholarship.
