My name is Saed Mohamoud Muhumed (Saed Faratol), and I am originally from Somaliland. I am currently pursuing a PhD degree in Tropical Agriculture. I decided to pursue further education in this field because I am passionate about finding sustainable solutions to improve food security and resilience in farming communities affected by climate change. Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Details

I was awarded the Taiwan ICDF Scholarship 2025 to support my PhD studies at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST). The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, and research costs. The scholarship covers airfare (round-trip), housing, tuition, credit fees, insurance, textbook costs, and a monthly allowance.

The Taiwan ICDF Scholarship was the only scholarship I was offered for my PhD program.

Educational Background

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Hargeisa, graduating with a GPA of 3.94. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong foundation in crop production, soil science, and environmental management, which sparked my interest in sustainable agriculture.

I later pursued a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability at Amoud University, where I graduated with a GPA of 3.82. My master’s research focused on the relationship between climate variability and agricultural productivity.
