The Journey
I’m Mojtaba Tadayonifar, originally from Iran and currently based in Wellington, New Zealand. I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Victoria University of Wellington, where my research focused on second language vocabulary acquisition, particularly the learning and retention of multiword expressions through contextual engagement and retrieval practice. My academic journey began with an M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Payame Noor University in Tehran. Over time, I became deeply interested in how linguistic and psychological factors influence language learning. This passion led me to further my studies and contribute to research that supports more effective language instruction strategies.
Currently, I work as a Student Success Adviser, helping learners navigate their educational paths and achieve their goals. I’m also actively involved in scholarly publishing and peer review, contributing to journals in the field of digital learning and language education.
