The Journey

My name is Grace Achieng Ochieng from Kenya. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Plant Breeding and Genetics at the University of Bonn, Germany. My passion for plant genetics was shaped during my MSc research on drought-tolerant sorghum at ICRISAT and further nurtured through hands-on genomics work. Mentorship played a key role in exposing me to international research and scholarship opportunities.
