Up to 30 full scholarships, including 10 for international applicants, and 100 other regional and finalist awards will be offered to exceptional students during the 2024 Summer and Fall selection process. For example, there are 25 finalist awards of $20,000 for international applicants and 15 regional awards of $10,000 for international applicants.

In addition, if you are a MacBain scholar and not engaged in studies during the summer period, you are eligible to apply for up to $5,000 to help you venture into other meaningful activities during the summer.

The McCall MacBain Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the McCall MacBain Scholarship as an international student, you’ll have to make it through a rigorous application and selection process and should meet the criteria below;

  1. You must have completed your first undergraduate degree from an accredited university in the last five years.
  2. You are currently enrolled in your first undergraduate degree and on track to graduate by August 2024.
  3. You are 30 years or younger in 2023 if you earned your first undergraduate degree more than five years ago.
  4. You must meet the minimum language and degree requirements for the Master’s program at McGill University.
  5. You must have an entrepreneurial spirit, be of exceptional character, and be able to demonstrate leadership potential and a will to impact other people’s lives positively.

Some of the master’s degrees under the scholarship program include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Music, Master of Engineering, Master of Public Policy, and Master of Law. For professional undergraduate degree programs, the BCL/JD program in the Faculty of Law and the undergraduate Dental program are covered by the scholarship program.
