The University of New Orleans (UNO), established in 1958, is a public research university located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Another notable scholarship is the Homer Hitt Nonresident Scholarship, which covers nonresident tuition fees, provides a living stipend of $16,429, and includes meal plan and accommodation fees for undergraduate students with an ACT score of at least 32, SAT score of 1420, and a 3.5 unweighted cumulative GPA. For graduate students, UNO offers Graduate Assistantships, providing full tuition coverage and a $5,500 stipend per academic year for master’s and Ph.D. students.​
