Muhammad Furqan Zia from Pakistan is completing his PhD in Engineering at the Université du Québec through a fully funded doctoral scholarship supported by NSERC and the Government of Québec. His journey began in Karachi, where a period of uncertainty after his bachelor’s degree transformed into a turning point when a Turkish professor discovered his hybrid-car project and offered him a fully funded Master’s opportunity. That decision led him from Turkey to Koç University, and eventually to Canada, where he continues advancing research in wireless communication systems and emerging technologies.
