To support international students, Kyungnam University offers several scholarship opportunities. The Dormitory Scholarship for Freshman helps with housing expenses by awarding up to ₩1,200,000 to students who achieve a TOPIK Level 4, IELTS score of 7.0, or TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher. Students with a TOPIK Level 3, IELTS score of 5.5, or TOEFL iBT score of 70 or higher may receive up to ₩600,000 in dormitory support. Additionally, the International Admission Scholarship (Language Test Score – English) provides full tuition coverage for the first semester, along with an admission fee exemption, to students with an IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher. Students with slightly lower scores can still qualify for partial tuition reductions. Similarly, the International Admission Scholarship (Language Test Score – Korean) grants a 70% tuition reduction and an exemption from admission fees for students who obtain a TOPIK Level 4 or above. Additionally, all incoming freshmen are eligible for a 50% tuition reduction for up to four years.
