In order to attract the top foreign students, the country of France has created a scholarship to fund studying in France, and because of this scholarship, many international students have received education in France at a cheaper cost.

Also, remember that not only the application process is an important part, but students willing to study abroad should get a high GPA, good standardized test scores, and extracurricular activities. Since you need to prove your English proficiency, don’t forget to take TOEFL or IELTS.

Most French universities require GRE, GMAT, or LSAT for certain graduate programs, so check the requirements of your dream university beforehand.

Don’t focus only on getting a high grade, but also focus on other parts that can enhance your application.

Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence

This scholarship is offered by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to international students who are applying for graduate programs. Many students have benefited from Effiel Scholarships, so let’s get into the details!

Eligibility Requirements

First, you need to be an international student (from the perspective of France), and if you are a French national, you cannot apply for this scholarship.

Also, you need to be applying for the graduate programs (Masters or Ph.D.’s), and your area of study should be one of the following:

  • Law Studies
  • Economics and Management
  • Engineering Sciences at Masters level; Any fields related to Science (Engineering Sciences, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and IT)  at a Ph.D. level.
  • Political Sciences

For masters, applicants up to 25 years old can apply, and applicants up to 30 years old can apply for doctoral programs. For masters, applicants from developing countries have a higher priority, while applicants from developing and industrialized countries have equal priority on doctoral scholarships.

In order to receive the scholarship, you need to meet the standard language requirement of your university, and international students living outside of France have a higher priority over international students already living in France.

Take advantage of these priorities, since you have a higher chance of receiving these scholarships if you apply.
