Subhadip Saha
DAAD Bi-nationally Supervised Doctoral Degree Scholarship
Subhadip Saha, a Physics PhD student at IIT Kanpur, is advancing his research in radio detection of cosmic rays as a DAAD researcher at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His interest, ignited during his master’s at IIT Kanpur (CPI 8.1) and built on a B.Sc. from the University of Calcutta (61.25%), led to the DAAD Bi-nationally Supervised Doctoral Degree Scholarship. This provides a 1300-euro monthly fellowship, a 460-euro research allowance, and a 1425-euro travel grant for up to 24 months. Building on a prior research stay at KIT in 2022, Subhadip, with his supervisors, crafted a compelling proposal with strong scientific relevance, backed by a solid CV and recommendation. He describes KIT as a world-class, supportive hub for cosmic ray research. His advice: create a research proposal that’s impactful and aligns with your PhD thesis.
