Incoming international students who will be enrolling in UCL’s undergraduate programs are eligible to apply for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship. It awards 10 successful applicants with tuition fees and maintenance, while 20 others will receive full tuition fee coverage. This scholarship is particularly aimed at students coming from low-income households and will be awarded based on financial need. There is only one application period for this scholarship throughout the year, and an online application form needs to be submitted in order to be considered.

Graduate Scholarships

1. Chevening Scholarship

The Chevening scholarship is one of the most renowned scholarships offered in the UK. International students who will be pursuing Master’s degrees are welcome to apply for this generous scholarship funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. There is one application period every year, usually opening in August and closing in November.

2. Graduate Research Scholarships

Students who are pursuing research degrees, including MPhil, Ph.D., and Doctorates, are eligible to apply to UCL’s Graduate Research Scholarships. Most of the scholarships under the research scholarships will cover full tuition and a monthly stipend, but it is possible to receive more benefits depending on your field of study. In order to be eligible, students must hold at least upper second-class Honours in UK undergraduate program or its equivalent qualification.

Incoming international students who will be enrolling in research degrees can get their tuition fees lowered through the Overseas Research Scholarships. It allows students to spend lower on tuition fees by covering the difference between home rates and overseas rates. Application Deadlines

Fall admissions

  • Undergraduate: The application opens on September 1st and closes on October 15th.
  • Graduate: There are no formal deadlines in graduate admissions because it is rolling (The university stops accepting applications after the spaces are filled). However, to receive a scholarship, students need to submit scholarship forms in early January. The scholarship forms are available in October.
