Chinese Government Scholarship Details

I was awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship twice to pursue a double master’s degree at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China. My programs are in World Economics (with a focus on WTO studies) and International Finance and Investment. Specifically, I received the Type B Chinese Government Scholarship, which fully covers tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance, and provides a monthly living allowance throughout the duration of my studies.

I also received a local scholarship in Indonesia called the Online Scholarship Competition, organized by an Indonesian TV network in collaboration with several universities. This scholarship supported my bachelor’s degree studies in Indonesia.

Since I applied to universities in China, having some knowledge of the Chinese language was helpful, as certain details are sometimes only available on Chinese-language websites.

Did You Take Any Standardized Tests? If So, How Did You Prepare for Them?

Yes, I took standardized tests as part of the application process. The requirements vary depending on the country, university, and program. In my case, I took IELTS and HSK (Chinese proficiency test). Preparing early and understanding the test format were key to achieving good results.
