The Government of Estonia and the Education and Youth board offers scholarships to incoming international students taking up programs in Estonian Universities. These Estonia scholarships cover one academic year (10 to 12 months), and it is given to your university.

The list of the eligible countries and host Estonian universities can be found on their website, and all applications will be made online. You will need to submit a copy of your passport or identification card, a confirmation letter from your university, and a motivation letter along with your application form.

The basis for awarding the scholarship is the motivation letter and the whole application of the student. The board advises starting their scholarship application as early as possible. Late or incomplete applications will not be counted.

2. Tallinn University of Technology Scholarships

The Taltech’s scholarship for international students in the bachelor’s degree is divided into two: the full tuition fee waiver and the performance scholarship. To be qualified for these scholarships, you need to be a full-time student at the university.

For the full tuition fee waiver, there is no separate application needed. The university will notify you of your tuition fee waiver if you meet the criteria needed. The dean and his committee will be the ones to review and select the recipients.

3. University of Tartu Tuition-waiver Scholarships

The purpose of Tallinn University’s Scholarship Based on Study Results is to recognize outstanding students in their respective programs as they study full-time. This scholarship in Estonia is open to both local and international students taking up bachelor’s and master’s programs. Applicants must be studying full time or taking 30 ECTS per semester, and they will be ranked with their weighted average grade. The higher the grades are, the higher the chances of getting the scholarships.

Students must submit their applications to Study Information System, and the Academic Affairs Office will decide about the applications. Kindly submit your applications early, and the university doesn’t accept late applications. The award will be given every 30th every month.

5. Estonian Business School – Scholarship for Foreign Master Students
