The Journey
Hi, I am Neha Dhiman, or you can call me by my nickname, Andy. I am from India, more specifically from the northern region. Currently, I am a final-year PhD student at Osaka University, one of the prestigious universities in the world. It was my dream since I enrolled in the bachelor's degree, our college principal named me a scientist based on my performance and achievements. My continuous dedication motivates me to achieve my dream goal.
MEXT Scholarship Details
It was the time of COVID, a very tough time in everyone's life, when I started looking for a government fellowship to study abroad for higher studies. I was in the last semester of my M. Pharmacy degree. When I saw that the application process was going on, I simply applied for the MEXT Scholarship. Fortunately, my application was selected for further screening, and luckily, I passed all the screening rounds through the embassy track. In the final screening stage, it is necessary to be accepted by a university or supervisor. I was a bit nervous, and finally, I was accepted after being interviewed by an experienced professor from Osaka University.
Educational Background
I was a brilliant student right from my school days. Standing first or being the topper in the class was one of my images. I was versatile and loved participating in sports, cultural events, and other activities. I think those were the best times when we were away from phones and social media.
I have studied B. Pharmacy and then M. Pharmacy. I have qualified for many national-level entrances in my home country. I got a GPAT scholarship for my master's course. After completion of M. Pharma, I joined a national university as a research associate, while the screening process for MEXT was going on.
