Hello, I’m very grateful to get a clear way of grading up my studies. University of Vienna is my next stop. I think have all the qualifications needed. Though, I have one question in English Proficiency Qualifications; does the secondary leaving certificate enough to proof since you studied in an English speaking subjects and this is the native language?

    • Hyun Lee November 13, 2023 at 1:53 pm - Reply

Hello, regarding English Proficiency Qualifications, take a look at their English Proficiency Qualifications Page. If you have been taught at an English medium, then according to their page, you should be exempt, but that might vary depending on the country you’ve studied from. So, I would ask the University of Vienna department directly for your situation just to be safe.

Hi I am interested but I only have my O level result but want to study medicine

    • Hyun Lee November 7, 2023 at 10:57 am - Reply

Hello, University of Vienna’s medical school holds all lectures in German and you need at least B1 in German in order to do clinical rotation. Also, I think that O Levels are not enough qualifications. You probably do need A Levels if the University of Vienna’s medical school does accept international students in the first place.

Hello. My name is Allan Sentongo, a Ugandan citizen. I have had all my education in English language throughout up to Master’s level. My question is do I need an English proficiency test to enroll?

    • Hyun Lee February 16, 2024 at 11:05 pm - Reply

Most likely; the truth is that most universities do not waive English proficiency requirements for students who are from countries whose language is not only English. So, you most likely need to take English proficiency exams.

Hello Lee, I’m a Civil Engineering graduate with a CGPA of 3.10/4 and an IELTS score of 7.5. My research focus is on Water in Environmental Engineering, and I have published in a few conferences and journal papers.
Does the University of Vienna or any other universities in Austria offer scholarships in this field that cover tuition and possibly living expenses? I’d appreciate any suggestions or guidance!

    • Hyun Lee January 26, 2025 at 12:59 pm - Reply

Hello, I don’t know on top of my head. However, there’s no tuition for public Austrian universities, only a small semester fees. You should first look into what universities offer Environmental Engineering and try to find scholarships that are offered. If you get into research groups as Master’s students, there are probably professors who will be willing to fund you, so I would try contacting professors as well.
