Marco Rizzo is an Italian researcher in Psychology and Neuroscience whose work focuses on understanding the neurophysiology of the human brain. After completing his academic training at Sapienza University of Rome, he earned a prestigious Marie Curie PhD Fellowship and joined Aalborg University in Denmark, where he conducted interdisciplinary research at the Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain. His fellowship provided a competitive salary, research funding, mobility support, and a three-month visiting period at a partner lab abroad; an experience that shaped both his scientific independence and international research career. Today, he continues his work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
