1. The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre

Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT), a public university, is the only institute of Estonia that offers higher education in today’s trending arts i.e. music & drama. It has prepared several notable actors, directors, and script & drama writers.

It offers many programs in advanced fields of education. It is very vast, as it has four departments. It also has a center for doctoral studies and a very extensive music library that contains more than 35,000 books, 130,000 musical scores, and 16,000 discs. Many musical concerts and events are held at EAMT to give its students the opportunity to act and learn.

This cheap university in Estonia is financed by the government of Estonia and the European Union. Research in the field of musical arts has been made possible because of it. EMAT also provides its students with many scholarships. It currently has 635 students, 156 of whom are international students.

The alumni list of EAMT is made up of many famous Estonian actors, directors, and playwriters.

2. Estonian Academy of Arts

Estonian Academy is a public university housed in Tallinn that was founded in 1914. It is regarded as the only Estonian institute for tertiary education in areas of design, media, art, architecture, and history and is dedicated to making education standards higher by spreading awareness and promoting creativity.

Its bachelor programs include accessory design, animation, architecture & urban design, and art history & visual culture. Master programs include ceramics, cultural heritage & conservation, fashion design, and glass art.

It also offers doctoral programs in the latest areas of arts in the disciplines of graphic art, graphic design, installation & sculpture, and interior architecture. Furthermore, it also offers cyclical studies in jewelry & blacksmithing, media graphics, painting, and photography. It has more than 1,100 students currently enrolled.

3. Estonian Aviation Academy

Estonian Aviation Academy is also a public institute. It has been offering services of educating and training professional aviation staff since its establishment in 1993. It is housed in Reola City. Development and research of the aviation field are its focus.

It offers many special programs that include air traffic services, management of aviation communication & navigation surveillance, aircraft piloting (airplane & helicopter), aviation management, and aircraft engineering.

This cheap university in Estonia has associations with many aviation-related local and as well as foreign enterprises, airports, and educational institutes. It has the third-largest student strength of all institutes in Estonia. It mainly focuses on the areas of educational innovation, digital media, culture, and health & lifestyle.

It has six schools dedicated to many interdisciplinary fields. Students from more than 40 different countries comprise its body. It stands amongst the prestigious universities in the world.

The university facilitates its international students by offering education in English. This is the reason that it has the highest concentration of international students than many other larger institutes of the region. In the alumni list, the names of Paul E. Beaudoin (music composer & theorist), Mihhail Lotman (politician), and Andres Luure (philosopher) are most notable.

5. Tallinn Institute of Technology

  • Average tuition fees: 4,400 EUR/year

 TalTech is a public university. It has earned its name on the world leaderboards because of its departments of engineering, business, and public administration. This cheap university in Estonia is in Tallinn. It consists of five schools and four institutes.

Most of the programs that are being offered at TalTech are in the English language. The undergraduate programs being offered at TalTech include cybersecurity engineering, international business administration, law, and integrated engineering. TalTech’s graduate programs include communicative electronics, cybersecurity, healthcare technology, software engineering, law, mathematics, European architecture, the technology of wood & plastic, and many more.

It also offers doctoral programs in economics, health, technology, and engineering-related fields.

6. University of Tartu

The University of Tartu is the most distinguished and profound university in Estonia. It ranks 301th globally. It is a public university and is in Tartu. Most of its courses are offered in the Estonian language. The courses being offered in the English language include computer sciences, IT law, semiotics, and applied measurement.

It has intensive research programs and projects ongoing. Most of its research in the past was majorly in the areas of clinical medicine, chemistry, environment & ecology, neurosciences, and psychiatry & psychology. UT has ongoing projects & contracts with more than 100 countries.

It remains synced with the latest technologies and innovations, to provide the best quality education to its many students.

UT has 4 faculties; arts & humanities faculty, social sciences, medicine, science & tech. More than 14,000 (1,500 international) students make up its student body. It offers fifty-six different degrees for undergraduate education and all of these are in the English language.

The graduate degrees are offered in seventy-two programs and twenty-four of these are in English. More than 120 postgraduate degree courses are offered and about thirty-five of these are in English.

      Hi, if you take a look at the Estonian universities in the list and search for biotechnology, they do offer them (see Tallinn Institute of Technology Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology for example). I can’t speak for their scope nor the quality of education however.
