2. University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield offers a BA Journalism Studies program. Its current postgraduate options include the Journalism MA and Global Journalism MA. These programs combine practical journalism skills with the study of journalism, media, and communication.

The German School of Journalism, also known as the Deutsche Journalistenschule or DJS, is based in Munich. It admits 45 students annually through a multi-stage selection process. DJS describes its training as a tuition-free, 10-month program followed by a six-month internship. Students are responsible for their living expenses. The school is funded by a consortium of media companies, public institutions, corporations, foundations, and organizations, and its official website states that no donor exercises dominant influence over the school.

4. University of Kent

The Centre for Journalism at the University of Kent describes a three-year Journalism BA and postgraduate opportunities at the master’s and Ph.D. levels. The undergraduate program includes preparation for the National Council for the Training of Journalists Diploma in Journalism.

However, the live course widgets on Kent’s current journalism pages show no matching courses and display a suspended label. Prospective applicants should contact the university to confirm whether applications are open before applying.

5. Danish School of Media and Journalism

The Danish School of Media and Journalism, also known as DMJX, offers a four-year professional bachelor’s degree in journalism. The program consists of two years of study, one and a half years of internship experience, and a final half-year of study.

DMJX also describes graduate journalism pathways offered in cooperation with Aarhus University. These include the two-year Cand.public. program and an international Mundus journalism program.

6. Tampere University of Applied Sciences

TAMK’s Media and Arts bachelor’s degree is a four-year, full-time program worth 240 ECTS credits.

TAMK’s Emerging Media master’s degree is a part-time University of Applied Sciences program worth 60 ECTS credits, with a planned duration of one to one and a half years. Applicants should review the official admissions page to confirm the next available intake.

7. Lannion Institute of Technology

9. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The School of Journalism and Mass Media Communications at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki offers an MA in Digital Media, Communication and Journalism. The program has three specializations, is worth 90 ECTS credits, lasts 12 months, and has a tuition fee of €3,000.

10. University of Groningen
