4 Linguistics Scholarship Winners

Two speakers can use the same language differently because of region, identity, context, or social change. Linguistics scholarships may support study of phonetics, syntax, meaning, language acquisition, sociolinguistics, or language documentation.

Scholarship winners often make their interests concrete through language data, fieldwork, teaching, coding, or research essays. Their stories can show how they selected suitable methods and explained why a particular language question deserved further study.
