Established in 1925, MUN offers programs in fields such as business, medicine, engineering, science, and the humanities. The university has a student community of more than 17,000 and offers many online courses and programs. If you’re admitted to this institution, it can be a strong choice for an affordable public university education in the province.

For international undergraduates, tuition is CAD 22,500 for two semesters and a standard 10-course load at St. John’s Campus for new students starting in the 2025–26 academic year. Graduate tuition is charged by program: current international total program fees include CAD 6,654 for eligible one-year master’s programs, CAD 9,666 for standard two-year master’s programs, CAD 15,600 for several designated master’s programs, CAD 24,000 for the MBA, and CAD 17,988 for most doctoral programs.

CNA is Newfoundland and Labrador’s public college and has 17 campus locations throughout the province, including Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Labrador West. College of the North Atlantic was formed in 1997 and has a history that goes back to the province’s vocational and regional college system. Today, it offers a wide range of full-time programs, including diplomas, certificates, advanced diplomas, and applied degree options. Its practical curriculum, published tuition rates, and transfer pathways make it a strong public-college option for international students.

International tuition for regular 15-week certificate and diploma terms generally ranges from CAD 4,484 per semester in Business and Information Technology to CAD 4,685 per semester in Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Natural Resources and Industrial Trades, and Sustainable Development. CNA’s applied degree tuition is CAD 8,877 to CAD 8,974 per regular semester. 3. Keyin College

Keyin College was established in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1980 and operates as a private career college. Keyin locations listed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada include St. John’s, Bay Roberts, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, and Stephenville. The college offers career-focused programs that help students build practical skills for the workplace.

The college offers a Personal Care Attendant program, and Keyin’s public program page describes the regular PCA option as taking less than eight months. Keyin International also lists an International Personal Care Attendant option as a 45-week program for students with related health-care education and at least six months of verified work experience in a health-related field.
