Israel is a country in the Middle East at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. It is widely known for its rich historical and religious heritage and for sites that are important to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Such landmarks include Ein Gedi, the Negev Desert, Timna Valley, Gan HaShlosha National Park, and the Dead Sea. Israel’s government designates Jerusalem as its capital, and Jerusalem is also the country’s most populous city. As for population, around 10.244 million people lived in Israel as of April 2026.

The educational journey of students in the country begins at primary school, which covers grades 1 through 6. This is followed by middle school, which covers grades 7 through 9, and high school, which covers grades 10 through 12.

Israel has a well-developed high-tech and research sector, with strong activity in areas such as artificial intelligence, medical technology, cybersecurity, and semiconductors. Because data plays a major role in these fields, studying data science in Israel can prepare students for opportunities in technology, research, healthcare, finance, and other data-driven sectors.

Take a look at some notable universities that offer data science-related programs in Israel below.
