1. Hebei Medical University Nursing College

Hebei Medical University Nursing College was formed on the foundation of the Nursing School of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University. It began enrolling undergraduates in 1999, was formally established in 2000, gained a master’s degree authorization point in 2003, and was adjusted to a first-level master’s degree authorization point in 2011. The college added a midwifery major in 2017.

The college offers undergraduate and master’s-level education. Its official overview also describes teaching and research units covering areas including fundamental nursing, clinical nursing, nursing psychology and humanities, geriatric and community nursing, and midwifery.

2. Wuhan University

Wuhan University lists its School of Health Sciences within the Faculty of Medical Sciences. University materials also refer to nursing as an undergraduate major. Applicants should check the university’s current admissions materials for the latest details about program availability, language of instruction, and eligibility for international students.

Yangzhou University began training four-year nursing undergraduates in 1999. Its nursing department was separated from the medical school in 2016 to establish the School of Nursing, and the university obtained a first-level master’s degree authorization point in nursing in 2011.

4. Peking University

Peking University‘s School of Nursing was among the first group of schools to restore higher nursing education in China in the 1980s. According to the university, it was the first school in China to offer a master’s degree program in nursing in 1990. Its doctoral program was authorized in 2010.

The school offers a bachelor’s degree, research and practice master’s degrees, and a doctoral degree. It has five academic divisions: Fundamental Nursing, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Nursing, and Humanities and Social Science in Nursing.

The predecessor of the School of Nursing at China Medical University was the university’s nursing department, which was founded in 1985. The School of Nursing was established in 2000, and the International School of Nursing was established in 2002. In addition to undergraduate nursing education, the school offers master’s and doctoral education. It received master’s degree authorization in 2000 and began enrolling master’s students in 2001. It received doctoral degree authorization in 2011 and began enrolling doctoral students in 2013. Its research directions include nursing education, nursing management, mental and psychological nursing, community and geriatric nursing, and clinical nursing.
