Latin America and Caribbean Program Coverage

This partially funded scholarship for international students covers the following:

  • Receive in-state tuition rates and recipients are classified as Florida residents for tuition purposes
  • Minimum of $500 per academic term

Latin America and Caribbean Program Eligibility Criteria

  • A citizen of Latin America countries or the Caribbean
  • A prospective student admitted to UNF or a registered student in good standing at the University of North Florida
  • Registered for a full-time course load per semester, with 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students

Latin America and Caribbean Program Application Process

A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Latin America and Caribbean Program. You’ll have to collect these requirements:

  • Application form
  • Copy of your passport page, showing your name and country of citizenship
  • Typed-written essay with three to five paragraph about a problem in your home country and how you believe your academic study and degree will help resolve it
  • Recommendation letter, preferably from academic source

Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:

  1. Complete the application requirements.
  2. Fill out the online form available on the International Center website.
