18 International Development Scholarship Winners

Projects designed to improve livelihoods can fail when local priorities, institutions, and long-term costs are treated as secondary. International Development scholarships may support study focused on poverty, education, governance, humanitarian action, agriculture, or social policy.

Community work, programme delivery, research, and public service have helped winners identify where they need deeper training. Their experiences can offer useful guidance on discussing impact carefully, recognising local knowledge, and setting out a credible development goal.
